Plan a Day Trip from Surrey
Description
BC is worth seeing outside the city in every season — blossoms in spring, lakes in summer, colour in autumn. Taking a break from the city helps with burnout and shows you why people move here.

What to do
1.
Research destinations like Harrison Hot Springs, Whistler, or Steveston Village
2.
Check the BC Ferries schedule if you want to visit Vancouver Island (Victoria or Nanaimo)
3.
Pack for 'BC layers' — April can be sunny, rainy, and cold all in one day
Tips
Harrison Hot Springs is 2 hours by car
Harrison Hot Springs, Chilliwack, and Cultus Lake are within 1.5–2 hours from Surrey by car. Rent a vehicle via Turo, Enterprise, or Avis — book in advance on weekends.
Visit Victoria without a car
Take the Canada Line SkyTrain to Bridgeport Station, then bus 620 to Tsawwassen ferry terminal, then BC Ferries to Swartz Bay (Victoria) — the round trip takes about 6–7 hours including the 1.5-hour ferry ride each way. Buy ferry tickets online in advance.
