Ask specific questions
Instead of 'any advice for moving to Vancouver?' ask specific questions: 'Is $1,600 reasonable for a 1-bedroom in Newton?' or 'Which SkyTrain station is closest to KPU Surrey?'. You'll get much better answers.
Be careful with advice from strangers
