Find a dentist and optometrist in Surrey that 'Direct Bills' your insurance company
3.
Schedule a basic cleaning and a vision test
4.
Check if you qualify for the 'Canadian Dental Care Plan' if you don't have private insurance
Tips
Book earlier, not later
Dental and optometry clinics in Metro Vancouver are typically booked 4–8 weeks in advance. Call or book online as soon as possible — don't wait until you have a toothache.
Direct billing saves upfront cost
Clinics offering 'direct billing' submit the insurance claim on your behalf — you only pay the uncovered portion. Bring your benefits card (or app) with your plan number and member ID.
